lol I wouldn't trade Fox straight up for Eichel. Some Easy math here:

I mean just last season according to Evolving Wild, Fox had an on-ice value worth 12.7 mil. Eichel was valued at 12.2 mil. Now factor in cap. If Eichel maintains that value, over the lifetime of his contract, he's giving you 11 mil in surplus value relative to cap (5 x 2.2 mil). Well that's less than what Fox provides in surplus value in 1 season... (12.7 - 925k).

So yeah, easy rejection. And given the Sabres trade history, you're scaling compensation in the wrong direction...

But you have to be out of your mind eichels value easily goes up with a team around him. Eichel is a franchise center. Fox is good but eichel would easily push rangers into the playoffs

That offer gets easily beat
LOTS of teams will be after Eichel
I like Fox & Miller, but if u wanna compete with the other offers we’ll likely get- then take out Strome & add Lafreniere
Then you’ve got a chance
