He’s a free agent at the end of the year so he won’t be exposed. Seattle can “claim” him and then he can decide to go to Free Agency after.

This could give us an in-road to sign him then protect him over Jones... unless, of course, Joner rediscovers his 2016 self between now and the deadline. I'd be ok with that.

Agreed, he’s playing so well I don’t see us getting him without say Korenar a prospect and a 3rd.

I'm totally ok with adjusting the trade, I just think it't time we get serious about getting a real, elite goalie in our system. The idea of Melnichuk is rad, but realistically it seems a bit of a ways away.
