Although the two goalies played well, most of the shots they stopped were from outside and towards the wings. Surprisingly the Oilers never got to the net much in the last two games.
I know CF fans don't like to hear this...but the Leafs are competent defensively.

Well that isn't true. He wasn't wanted back...period. Leafs PP is as good without him. And coaches never put Barrie on the PK because of defensive liabilities. Now I admit players get paid for points. Leafs didn't have the cap to sign him, but the fact he just good one year deal at 4m...31 GMs weren't impressed with his play.

So Edmonton would be down to just Smith and Stalock for 2 weeks while Kuemper quarantines. I don't like that idea much, TBH. And the 1st could mean missing out on Sebastien Cossa, not something I like much either. TBH the goaltending isn't letting down the Oilers very often these days, not sure there's any reason to make this move.

As for the MIN deal, Nuge and Barrie are both pending UFA so I don't see why they'd go for it. From Edmonton's side there's no reason to trade away pending UFA's when you're heading for the playoffs.

Edmonton needs to keep nuge put him on drai's Line and get an elite shooter for Mcdavid so somebody can put the puck in the net. Even with Nuge they are all around the net getting chances but none are getting put away.
