Boston kills any chance to re-tool instead of a rebuild and goes all in for one year.

This just goes to show how well Boston has managed the cap situation that even adding Eichel and Forsberg's contracts this team still has a good amount of cap space

Take out Forsberg, not a realistic deal.

Definitely wouldn’t wait until the 23 draft to see some return on picks

I would argue you’d get a few years out of yet. Everyone there except Ryan is under contract for 2 years. And honestly. Bruins aren’t that good at drafting. Hit a few peaks with guys like Marchand and Pasta. But for the most part they mess up with their picks.

No from BUF. Late 1st round picks and no elite prospect/player won't cut it

Preds decline.

No thanks to Wings. Ryan has come back down to earth since hot start. Don’t want or need. Not worth more than a 4th.

Can’t see DK waiving for Buffalo.

That’s part of Buffalo’s problem. Same with Edmonton. Just focused on elite players. It’s not basketball you need a team. Not saying that other teams can’t beat that trade. But it’s a pretty solid haul for one player. And is the start to build a team. Not just lines.

Yah can’t argue that those trades would never happen. Would be a sick team though.

Value Aside. I would really like to see what Ryan could do on a line with Bergy and Marchy.

Rather see what Seny could do. Off to good start 4g 3a 7 games finally playing a top 6 role in Prov than bring in a retread.

You have to assume they'd want either a star player or prospect with star potential, if they're giving up Eichel. A gaggle of roster players and a couple late 1sts won't get it done.

Carlo and debrusk are very high value young roster players.

Bad trades all around. Bruins reject the Sabres deal, Both teams reject the NSH deal, and Bruins reject the last deal.

I could say the same for Bruins fans, given how optimistic these proposals are for them smile

You are talking about a top 10 C who is under 25. Someone will back up the brinks truck for him. My bet is NYR.

So many issues and def a one year experiment (think 2-UFA G-men!!?)
20 player roster...
No Cap/wiggle room in a COVID flat cap environment that could last for a while...
McAvoy needing a new deal soon (think 8+)...
Carlo at core of a up and coming D group - "D wins championships"...
Expansion on horizon...
6 for 1 deals are so 1980s...

6’5” top four d men in their early 20s don’t grow on trees. It would take a really specific situation for them to get a star player back as you suggest. Not sure that’s going to happen, as it is just insanely rare.

Buffalo laugh at the Eichel offer, And Detroit passes Bobby Ryan gets a 2nd rounder or stays.

As a Preds fan, I see no truth to the bolded part squinty smile In all seriousness though, NYR could put together a compelling offer for Eichel in the off season that doesn't require BUF to take back half a roster's worth of middle of the lineup players. They'll have Smith's contract and almost $9M in buy outs off the books by then.

Like what? Whats in there? Kakko? He’s looked great, eh. Chytil? Whatever. If buffalo wants nothing but futures, yes, many teams will have an edge on boston.

Personally i don’t really want the bruins to go after eichel. I think a deal like this hurts the franchise.
