Deadline

Created by: BFBlues03
Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 2, 2021
Published: Mar. 2, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
No the Bruins are not getting Eichel, and going for Ekholm doesn't make sense with the expansion draft. Go for rentals at the deadline.
Trades
1.
DET
  1. Kuhlman, Karson
  2. 2021 5th round pick (BOS)
2.
BOS
  1. Murray, Ryan ($1,600,000 retained)
NJD
  1. Tinordi, Jarred
  2. 2022 4th round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
All due respect to Murray and Devils fans, but frankly Murray's value has not increased very much. He was traded for a 5th in October, so a 4th and a player to fill a roster spot seems appropriate IMO.
3.
BOS
    Future Considerations
    OTT
    1. Moore, John ($1,000,000 retained)
    2. 2023 5th round pick (BOS)
    Additional Details:
Moore with a $1,750,000 cap hit for two more seasons after this one is manageable for a team with cap flexibility like the Senators.

Red Wings say no. They would rather a 2nd/3rd.

5th was an underpay for Murray. NJ can get a 3rd at least. Also, if they indeed get him, he's in the top4, that's the purpose of the trade.

We can argue about values all we want, but i think that these are the kind of players the bruins will target. Low value, depth rentals. Well done.

At that price, the Devils probably hold onto Murray to help the defense and try to re-sign him.

Figured he was either worth a 3rd/4th, just wasn't sure which one. And yes, I should have put him with Carlo/McAvoy.

    I’m with tgasp on this
Should be useful young player or better pick. Otherwise we’ll just keep him and try to resign.

Maybe the 5th was an underpayment, but there is no way Ryan goes for more than a 3rd.

I don’t think they would even need to trade off their roster. Prospect.

Lol, nah dude. You’re miles off. Some reporters are saying (and maybe they’re wrong) that there’s not even a chance Taylor hall half retained gets a first. You think washed up, bought out, Bobby Ryan is getting a second? Do cartwheels if he gets a third.

I can tell you that Bobby ryan won’t be the difference between any team winning or losing the cup. He’s a nobody.

Wait you weren’t trying to talk trash were you? Detroit really isn’t in a position to do that.

Does that matter? Does that matter right now when you’ve watched a couple seasons of your team be a legitimate joke? A hearty congratulations to you on your team being good 12 years ago. Does that really make you feel better when you’re watching the wings lose by four goals almost nightly? If it does, you’re as embarrassing as your team.

    Surely you jest.

Find a bookie that will take that bet. They’ll give you 50 to 1. You’ll be lighting your money on fire, but you know what they say about a fool and his money.
