You don't have to have equal cap at the deadline as long as you have 1.5 million space you can fit forsberg. If you are loading up for playoffs you arent ditching Kerfoot and Mikeyev those are the guys who win it for you.

I have to agree. Trading Fil would be dumb for us but this is a good offer but I’m curious if they could change that 21 1st to 22. I like that draft class much more

Well it's not a very realistic offer by the Leafs. And certainly no other team is going to offer nearly as much either.
If the Preds don't keep Forsberg is season, his trade value goes down even more.

Toronto has 2 first lines and I think the matthews line is just fine as it is. The tavares line could use a spark so that’s why I put him there.
