not sure that's worth it for the hawks and not worth it for the avs to add more.

i think pearson with retention could fetch a 2nd. i guess it depends on how they value beaucage.

Make it a 2nd instead of a 3rd and Vancouver accepts

Strome has been pretty disappointing this season, so I think I'd take this, as a Hawks fan.

If you're relying on him to be a 2C, at this point, I think you're going to be disappointed as well. He hasn't really produced well away from DeBrincat and/or Kane and imo, he's brought Kubalik down with him this season. He has a concussion right now, so maybe he gets healthy and comes back a new man, but I am starting to buy into the narrative that he isn't really ever going to be able to produce on his own after kinda giving him the benefit of the doubt the last two seasons. I root for him hard, don't get me wrong, but that's just kinda how it's been this season.

Anybody named Strome is stylistically a bad fit for the Avs because you can guarantee they can’t skate.

Dylan can skate. He's got below average speed but hardly bottom 25% of the NHL with speed.

The knock on him since before he was drafted was his skating, nothing has changed and given the premium the Avs put on it he isn’t someone they would target especially with the amount of transition game and forechecking they expect out of their bottom 6.

When you say "nothing has changed" that is simply not true. He is definitely a better skater then when he was drafted and was looking good in the playoffs last season and again at the beginning of the season until he got a concussion that wasn't diagnosed immediately. That said, he will never be a fast skater per se, he's always going to be a bit below average but I can name dozens of skaters in the NHL that are slower then him. He makes up for it with being incredibly smart on the ice, being in the right place and one of the better passers in the NHL. That said, I agree he's not a good fit in Colorado, would do better in a place like Boston or Pittsburgh.
