Not sure. Showed signs of elitism first year, fell down a bit the second year and hasn't really been good this year. And I don't wanna hear the bs "its Krugers fault" from anyone cause elite players should be able to still be good in bad situations

I was thinking between 4-4.5. He is still having a down year and will likely have to show more to earn more .

If they give him 5 it walks him straight to UFA and I doubt he re signs.

4 years makes him a UFA. 5 year deal buys one UFA year.

Devils have played Sabres 5 times already I think.
He looked pretty good to me.
I'd say 2-year bridge at $4-5m, then gets big $$$ starting in 2023-24 (after those lumpy bonuses to Eichel/Skinner get paid out in 2022-23)

5 year deals are bad. Buffalo isn't contending. There's no reason to do that sort of deal.

7Mx5 is too much either way. It would be closer to 6Mx5.

4Mx2 would be about right. Personally I think a 3 year deal would be better for Buffalo.

Didn't suggest it was. Just saying that 4 years brings him to UFA, not five.
