ah yes those charts. funny how they never mentioned that suzuki is playing as a center while necas plays on the wing. you tell me which position is more difficult?

Those charts show your on ice impact and the plan is to push Necas to C. Also, gaps like that can’t be wished away with positionality.

Evolving Wild charts being used again to dictate who is better. I think they're both really good but Necas hasnt been playing center in the NHL, while Suzuki has been playing top 6 minutes on a worst team. Both are going to be really good but Ill take Suzuki since he has proven he is a capable top 6 center.

You see these players are very similar. However you have failed to consider that Suzuki is worth much more because he plays for a big market and therefore will be the next Bergeron.

What if, and this is just a thought and not meant to be a d1ck comment, but, what if the Habs are a worse team BECAUSE Suzuki is playing a top 6 center role?

Cant play him anywhere else because we dont have elite offensive players like a Carolina has. And he is already better then anyone else we can put there, Danault has dropped off and Kotkaniemi needs more time to start finishing plays. If Montreal had of gottten Aho through that offer sheet then he likely get brought along slower and plays less but you have to work with wha you have.

If he's so good and far superior to Suzuki, why do you want to trade him and why do you want Suzuki??

Imagine if Habs actually landed a 1C in Aho. Would’ve been a huge get

Likely would have had us competing for a playoff spot last year and allowed us to be comfortable trading Danault in the off season last fall. And even possibly making a deal to send out Suzuki or KK for a young elite defenseman.

I just made a fun, semi realistic team to show what could have been. Take it with a grain of salt

Well, Necas is a year older and Suzuki played most of his first season playing RW on the fourth line with Nate Thompson.

Then got moved up at the end of the season and in the playoffs.

Otherwise, his progession this year is interresting. Playing top 6 minutes and given some defensive missions. I think we should wait before making a comparison. He has been playing with great players for 18 of these 55 games.

He went straight from the OHL to the show. Necas has spent some time in the AHL to adjust. I believe on the long term, Suzuki will be the better player.

niether do facts. necas will be a great player, but brendan gallaghar had better 5v5 stats than crosby last year. does that make him better than crosby?
