No I actually don’t think it’s a one for one just think value isn’t so far off

You are welcome to try, but the Kings have plenty of depth they really just need an elite LD. So I'd at least start on the other side because the Kings RD depth: Doughty, Roy, Walker, Strand, Grans, Faber, Spence. LD on the other hand, they have their best guys out there now and no one has that top line look just yet. Blake has openly said he wants to address obtaining a top LD under 25 through a trade, although it's likely that they use their first-round pick this year on an LD and we just get a free agent as a bandaid.

Please recall this text thread began from believing this trade undervalues Turcotte. I'm not trying to put Nils down either or indicate he will be a bust, simply that I would not be happy if Blake did a 1-for-1 deal for him if Turcotte was the piece that was given up. The selection of Worbo as AHL coach and moving him from college shows that the Kings are all in on Turcotte, and it would have to be something impressive to seem an acceptable trade this early in his development. That being said, I imagine Lundqvist will be an impressive part of the Rangers' future, as I hope Turcotte will be as well.

i wasn't addressing the value of the trade. i was addressing the statement you made about whether it is believed that Lundqvist is bluechip.
if i am addressing value between Turcotte and Nils - it's not far apart at this point. the argument that could be made is that Turcotte is a center which would give him a step on Lundqvist, let's call it a 4th round pick.

I think the kings would pass on that, as stated above I don’t believe Nils addresses the top line LD position that Blake has publicly indicated he is looking for, and it would be too early to give up a player the Kings are so high on.

i agree the kings pass, they don't *need* Lundqvist.
just in terms of player value - they are much much closer than people think.

Where do u see the Rangers acquiring 2 guys? Turcotte is flipped to Buffalo

Damn it..... My bad, but I have a great excuse. My favorite team is the Buffalo Sabres and I have had to watch them play hockey for the last 10 seasons. Imagine the damage that has done to my eyes.
