No.. you can't see it at the deadline, if the Flames are out a 24 year old that is just getting better on a deal under 2.5 million dollars for another season makes absolutely zero sense to move.

Backtrack to the Flames best 5 on 5 player this year, plays both sides and no one knows what the Flames are doing next year, they likely miss by a few points or sneak in by the skin of their teeth, draf tin the 15-20 range once again and have no pieces to completely rebuild. It would be really really stupid to trade your best 5 on 5 player when you just signed an elite goalie for 6 years to contend. On paper the deal is fine, in reality and practicality it's a really dumb deal

Doesn't make sense for the Leafs. You realize Kerfoot has just one less point than Mangy this season. Leafs need Kerfoot at centre, not another winger.
Plus to give up all those futures....way too high a price for the Leafs.
