What is Alex Goligoski worth

Created by: sensonfire
Team: 2020-21 Arizona Coyotes
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 3, 2021
Published: Mar. 3, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I know he's an expensive player who only has 1 point in 20-25 games.

But he logs huge minutes every game on Arizona's top defensive pairing and Rick Tocchet seems to like his play.

According to the Athletic's Trade Deadline Board, he is the "most attractive" of Arizona's five impending free agent defencemen.

Last time he was traded, Arizona only gave up a 5th round pick for him.

Do you think that will happen again?

What is Alex Goligoski worth in your opinion?

Below are trade scenarios involving 3 teams that I don't think are on Goligoski's No-Trade List.

Let me know your thoughts :)

Coyotes are going to have to retain (as you have) and it wont be until the deadline when teams have accumulated cap available. I think a team is going to have to have an injury in their defense to consider him an option.

I think that the retention and his ability to play both sides will add to his trade value somewhat.

It would not surprise me to see Winnipeg expending a third on him; I think he'd clearly be an improvement on Nathan Beaulieu, for example, and the Jets don't have a fourth in 2021 or 2022.

Absolutely heck no from Minnesota wild. Minnesota wild doesn't need or want any d with having the best d's 1-6in NHL

Wild aren't taking on other teams bad contract. it's the other way around

Saying that he was last traded for a 5th is somewhat misleading because that was just for his rights. He was an impending UFA and the Starts traded him for a 5th to AZ so that they could have a longer negotiating window to sign him. Not really indicative of his value. I think at the deadline he's worth a 2nd

That wasn't really what I was asking.

I was asking about Goligoski's trade value around the league.

I never said in my post that he should go play for the Minnesota Wild, so I'm not sure what you're so hot about :/

I selected Minnesota, Pittsburgh and Dallas as illustrative examples

If you look a little closer, I say "Below are trade scenarios involving 3 teams that I don't think are on Goligoski's No-Trade List."

It's not an overt suggestion that Goligoski must be traded to the Minnesota Wild.

You missed the entire point of my post.

Stats also show that there are two teams in their own DIVISION that have given up fewer goals, and three other teams that have better GAA.

Hot take but I think Goligoski is worth more than people on this website give him credit for. Sure the offense hasn’t been there this year but defensively he’s been rock solid on the coyotes top pair. With full retention I could see him returning a second or a third with a mid-level prospect attached.

Show it. Clearly you have no ideal what the heck you are talking about. Brodin is one of the best d in the league.
Anything to put down wild players because wild don't want trash d or any d players

Kaapo kahkonen of wild is statistically the 2nd beat goalie in the division. Do research before calling someone else out

Cam Talbot has barely played due to being injured or sick

My exact quote said "two teams in your own division." Las Vegas and Colorado are those two teams. I think your lack of fluency in English misled you to think I was saying all five teams were in Minnesota's division.

Do you by any chance use translation software to communicate in English? Because your most recent comment in another thread (“To proposal this trash for wild is comical”) suggests that a lot of what you are trying to express is lost in translation, or at least garbled. And you constantly misunderstand what people are trying to say to you.

I think it’s a troll that’s on his 3rd alias. “The asking price for Dumba is a top 6 C and he won’t move for anything else” seems to be his favorite. I wouldn’t give too much effort there.

Well I for one would be interested in aquiring Goligoski for a playoff run if the price was cheap and the Wild had already solidified the center position. It would be a rental but last year in the bubble the Wild lost Suter last year and it was a bit of a disaster.
As far as Brodincheerd is concerned I've been told he use to be wildnowin? And Modano something before and I think those accounts have been banned. This iteration is a little more mellow, but definitely the most aggressive of us Wild fans.

I hear that concern but I’d say the price would have to be a player we couldn’t move for anything else like a Johansson. I’m still waiting for the show to drop but I’m convinced we will sell Bonino and Cole. He wild card for me is Hartman since he could be this year’s Coleman AND I doubt he gets a QO with it’s value and the ED so we could circle back if we wanted.

This is the time to load up before we should be expected to make noise in the playoffs. We will need it with our contract situation and to buy upgrades when the time comes.

If I had to put money on it, yes.

Well, then, I won't take it to heart or pay any more attention to him.
