Thats gonna be a hard no from the Pens side of things. If you wanna talk trade we may be interested in Eric Staal with salary retention but we arent looking to give up draft capital for a backup goalie.

As much as I hate to say this I think Tampa accepts. Coleman is so important though. We'd need a big step-up from one of Volkov and Joseph. AHHH I can't decide

not sure what Tampa says. Hall would fit nicely with Stamkos and Cirelli come playoff time but Colemans gritty play style will be missed alot

If I were Sabres GM rn I wouldnt have interest in picks. They need NHL ready players. They also need to go after Grit and Leadership. I also think this draft is not only weak but terribly scouted so its a crap shoot boom or bust draft, and the Sabres can not afford anymore busts

Why would a bad, young team have no interest in picks. I get you want Coleman, but chances are he walks in a few months anyway. A 1st makes more sense in my mind

Theres been 0 reports on him from Pittsburgh and I can find absolutely nothing on him from within the past month of trade rumors. Could certainly have seen it when Jarry was struggling night in and night out but since he seemed to find his groove? Nothing on the goalie front.

its gonna cost you around a first to dump TJ for nothing in a flat cap world lmao

i don't see why buffalo would do this or the trade suggested by OP. especially with retention

I think this draft is not only weak but terribly scouted so its a crap shoot boom or bust draft, and the Sabres can not afford anymore busts, the Sabres are also in a unique situation where they cant wait 5 years to see a possible return on Hall

TJ is not a bad cap hit for Buffalo and they could use his experience, They would have to extend Coleman though or else its a waste

they could get a substantial sweetener just for taking on his contract though - feels like poor management of cap space unless something is coming back the other way

don't think TBL is a great fit for hall either way tbh
