All i can say, laugh laugh shakes head Help Those scraps are nowhere near enough for Mantha. You honestly think that McCann and Rodrigues whom basically would get you a 3rd round pick and a 4th round pick respectively and a late 1st round pick and 2nd round pick get you Mantha what a terrible proposal? I doubt Pittsburgh even has the pieces Detroit wants for Mantha.

even though DET seems to be stuck in 0 gear every year(you'd think you'd see improvement by now) they aren't trading Mantha. And surely not for that.

VAN probably accepts but might ask for 2nd round pick instead.

I added a first, but I value Legare at a 2cnd (because that is where he was selected and he is 1 year away from being NHL ready in a middle 6 role) and McCann is a young 2cnd line forward, who’s worth around a late first to an early second, it’s just that he’s not better than zucker or Guentzel which is why he is not being given that time. Rodriguez is just a very small piece that is a stop-gap so that the Red Wings don’t have to call up a prospect too early in their development.

So if you make the players values as picks, it’s two 1sts, two seconds, and a 4th for Mantha and Namestnikov.

No from Winnipeg. They're not giving up a 1st for a 29 year old LD that will block Samberg and Heinola next season.

Call this a done deal then. Id be willing to move a 3rd for a player like Virtanen.

McCann isn't worth a 1st. No one is going to give that up for him. He's got more value to the penguins at this point than anyone else.

McCann and Namestnikov probably even out.
Légaré, and a 1st were never going to get you Mantha. It just wouldn't be enough to move him for DET.

That offer there, I don't know, it depends. Personally I wouldn't do it from either side. DET takes picks and they are back to, one day in the next 4 years we will compete again.
I think their fan base is tired of spinning wheels and wants to see something. Much like OTT fan base is seeing signs of life after only 3 years.
From the penguins side, he's always injured. Now I'm sure some of that is playing in DET where it's like why bother but his points are also from DET too which means probably inflated. Someone has to score.
So I'm not sure he's the guy I would chase if that's what you are willing to pay.
