Fleury is still a cap jettison though

Overlooked is that Vegas has been fantastic defensively so far and yes MAF has played well but his true talent rn is still about average (.905 last year)

          Context ftw ✔

I can't see Colorado spending a first on a rental Hall. Their top 6 is pretty good.

Trade Brisson out. That’s theoretically 5 firsts with Krebs, him and Smith (I value him that easily)

I’d also rather trade Lehner, can’t see VGK letting the original face of the franchise go anywhere after the way he’s played this year

You can keep Hall, let him rot in Buffalo after pulling his BS stunt last offseason

He had his chance to play for contenders after saying all he wants is to win but then picks a team foe the most money in an effort to pad his stats to try to make more the next offseason

          Sucks to suck hall

Yeah and also seemed like they got their deadline deal out of the way early with Saad effectively, as well they're due to ascend after an early PDO lull in ways

That's really misguided to let Fleury's conceptual value (so to speak) get in the way of their precious cup window if they can replace him with JBernier etc.

I posted up above about how he's overrated rn

Franchises need to move beyond this stuff asap

          Harsh but fair

One of the silliest things I've ever seen honestly

When he could have padded his stats beside the likes of MacKinnon, Panarin, etc. while contending too

It is harsh but this is the bed he made now he has to lie in it, the guy wants to be paid like a top guy but every team he has gone to, he doesn’t do anything to put them over the top and they all fail,

Time to realize he needs to be the 3rd or 4th fiddle on a team and accept a secondary role bc he’s not winning trying to be one of a teams top guys and high paid player

For the Stars I'd do that if you change Gurianov to Hintz.

          I think Hintz Is better

I don’t love Vegas as a spot for Eichel
Fleury & Smith are good players, but neither fit the timeline for another rebuild that we’ll be doing if we move Jack

Kings & Rangers seem like 2 teams with LOTS of young talent that would want him
Vegas just doesn’t have the pieces they do

vegas has the pieces but they would need to add Fleury or fleury and smith/marchessault/tuch to make cap work

Fleury and smith aren't even bad and can be flipped fore more futures if they want anyways

Taking back Cap is no biggie
But u can’t really count that as an asset for Eichel if that’s the case then

im counting it a bit as an asset since goaltending Is weak for them and a good winger doesn't hurt

          Maybe it counts a little,
but neither of those players would be a factor in beating out other offers
Again, we’d be starting a rebuild again
So 1 year of Fleury just doesn’t mean anything
          Same with Smith
The only value they’d have to us is what we could turn around & trade them for- which is an unknown
