Massive overpay from Toronto. No chance Kubalik touches a top prospect in return. A 1st, sure. But more of a prospect along the lines of Liljegren or Niemela. But guys like Robertson, Sandin, and Amirov are completely off the table and out of Kubalik's value range at all.

you leafs fans really like Roberson, Sandin, and Amirov are more valuable than kubalik single handedly? sheesh

@Wadejos123 @Stan_Bowman
It's actually comical some of the comments. Kubalik is pacing Nylander in his 2nd year in the NHL and put up 30 goals in 68 games in his rookie season last year and yet some Leafs fans want to pretend Robertson, Sandin and Amirov have more value? LMAO too funny!!! Kubalik is worth 2 of those guys as none are sure-fire top line guys more middle 6 and 2nd pairing guys likely, yet Kubalik has already proven he is and did what only a handful of rookies have done in the NHL to put up 30 goals (36 goals in a full 82 game season).

BIG NO from the Hawks. Those picks are going to be at the bottom of each round. Robertson hasn't proved anything in the NHL, Kubi is a legit top 6 forward and proving it again this year.

theoretically of course, but I think Kubalik could be a solid deadline pick up for Florida if we were to trade him. Not too high of cost, an extra year of control along with being an RFA, someone to fall back on if Barkov leaves but also another guy to give Barkov a reason to stay

Okay, but what are we getting back. Mind goes to Tippet? Knight? Ludell etc?

I'd probably focus on a 2022 1st and then maybe a couple middle tier guys like Borgstrom and Lindmark (Wisconsin bias) because the 2022 1st is more valuable than the 2021

I agree, but I don’t know that it would be easy to get a 2022 out of a team this early.

Hawks are not trading Kubalik. I'm not saying Kubalik is anywhere near Panarin's talent , but they know the mistake they made there. They can't be dumb enough to do it again?
