Whenever people complain about Leafs' fans, this should be pointed out.

hawks decline. Not trading Kane, but if we did we aern't retaining anything let alone that much. And it would cost more than that. add one of Robertson/Sandin/amirov and drop the retention and maybe the hawks consider

Kane is a great player but what you just said is a bit much. I mean the rentention is a fair bit but either way I don't think the leafs do that deal either.

Kane is a hart finalist, face of the franchise, and may go down as the best hawk and american ever when its all said and done. And he hasn't fallen off a bit in terms of play as he's aged. He's 2nd in the hart race right now for sure and if the hawks make the playoffs he very well might win it

I'll backpedal a little bit as I thought next year was the final year of his deal. It's a deal neither side would accept for a few reasons. The proposed deal above isn't enough value for the Hawks. But if it was what I thought and Kane only had 1 more year than I would say it was pretty close to fair. But you are correct.

That hawks trade is never going to happen. Kane will be a hawk for his career.

And just me but the line of hyman engvall and mikheyev is great and I want it to stay that way. Kerfoot will be gone if we find a middle 6 forward in trade or FA. Maybe Robertson be the 2nd line LW

Chicago is not making another Roenick for Zhamnov mistake and trading Kane for Nylander who floats around and a late 1st rounder plus whatever prospects you want to throw in there.

This just reminded me how pissed I am we haven't gotten to see Kane and Matthews play on a line together at the olympics yet
