I get that you want all the Staal brothers together, but Marc Staal is bad and has negative trade value. If the Canes trade for him at all I would be mad, but if they give anything higher than future considerations I would loose all faith I have in the teams front office.

Mrazek is on an expiring contract, Gardiner plays a position at which we already have Cam Fowler, Hampus Lindholm and four NHL-quality prospects, and the seventh is inadequate compensation for DesLauriers. The only point that this proves is that no one remembers that 5 years ago, Freddie Andersen and his 5 years of term were traded for a first and a second, and Gibson is better now than Andersen was then or is now and has an extra year left on his contract.
