No... you really can’t. Tkachuk+1st is MORE than enough for Eichel. You don’t throw in a #1 defenseman as well

I’m tempted... really hurts to lose Valimaki though. I know that you don’t see him as anything special, but I do and I think BT agrees. He’s seen as a #1 d-man. This deal is awfully tempting though and I’m inclined to do it or think long and hard

Love Tkachuk- he makes this proposal interesting
But i still think it would get beat by teams like LA & NyR

You’re gonna have to outbid all the teams that will want Eichel

Exactly and neither team is doing that. Sabres aren’t running staal or cozens at 1c.

I’ve run this past a few sabres fans and most were receptive to it.

Gets Eichel out of the conference you get three years of Monahan and your next 2c to run under cozens, the lhd you need and on top of that an unprotected 1st from a team under .500. I can’t see Eichel pulling in more than that. Those are four 1st round picks.

If we trade Eichel, we’re going complete rebuild again

Monahan is too old for that timeline
And he’s not a good 1C
Idk why u can’t get it that he’s of no interest to me???
