See you kept Barrie... a fine contribution to Matthews Rocket trophy bid.

I would personally trade Barrie before Larsson but I don’t see Holland moving him.

That’s avs trade is just awful, like at least try
Explain why the avs would remotely consider that

I'm not 100% sure it's enough of an overpay on Granlund to balance out taking Neal's contract, but it's a very tempting offer. If NSH does go full rebuild instead of just a retool, I'd do it.

Avs trade LOL. They wouldn’t give Toews for Larson if they included a 1st.

Nino > Pulju

McGinn < Kahun

Reimer ~ Koskinen, but Koskinen's deal is worse

Why are Carolina adding Gunler here?

I’d love to have Nealer back and I know he loved playing here so I think it would be a good deal but that contract is awful

I feel like the value is fine. If we go rebuild, I’d do it personally. Neal can still put the puck in the net which is something we really lack. He can fill in the holes while players develop. He isn’t what he used to be but on the plus side he only has 2 more seasons after this.

well there was no actual rumours he was available, Sakic came to the islanders with an offer they liked before they got into deeper cap crunch

Islanders moved him bc he already filed his arbitration at the time of the deal and were scared of the number that he was going to be rewards, avs took the chance to trade for him and get a deal done before his Arb case was heard

the price of 2 2nds is peanuts with the level of player he is, the guy is a stud next to either Makar or Girard. So a 3rd and a bottom pairing pending UFA doesnt even get the convo started. You are going to have to over pay well beyond what Avs gave up for him

Yeah Neal's contract is rough, but not so exorbitant it can't be absorbed while the team is in rebuild mode. He still plays hard and can be a mentor to the young guys in that situation. The fact that the 1st is in the deeper 2022 draft decides it for me. I'm on board with this.

Just think of Neal teaching Tolvy the ropes as a shooter
