Hawks are not trading their draft picks, especially for 36 year old Eric Staal. Chicago is not in a win now position.

Oh I think it would work for Vancouver, get a top 6 winger who regularly scores 50+ points, but it doesn't make sense for Buffalo.

Glad you think that. You may want to look at Vancouver’s salary cap as well. Trying to resign three RFAs in Pettersson, Hughes and Reinhart with Eriksson, Beagle, and Roussel still on the books and not having 2 or 3 round picks to off load them.
