Description
Sources have indicated that Taylor Hall is interested in resigning. He would be ok with a 3-4 year deal at around 6mil. I have been told that Taylor actually enjoys it in buffalo.

I have this wierd feeling that if Eichel is traded, Hall will turn into a star in Buffalo. Just like NJ

What is this every team would decline. Eichel is great but not worth that much. Dallas doesn't want to take on more cap space for decent round picks. Seattle would never pick cody eakin. Philly would never give up that much for a one time season in middlestat he had one good season and that was it.

Dallas declines. Value is fine, but Dallas isn't taking his cap hit & they are closer to being sellers than buyers at the TDL. They'll keep the mid-round picks & the $3.875M in cap space for next season.

Rags pass. Take out Kravtsov and Schneider and replace with first pick in year 2022. Sabres cannot have both Kakko and Kravtsov. Pick one.

stop suggesting Tage to New York - no one wants him.
also, Eichel will not return all of that.

Strome, Chytil, Kakko, and your choice of first round pick in either year 2021 or year 2022.

    in my opinion:

    Kakko
    Schneider or Kravtsov
    Strome
Gauthier or Howden or both for all i care
    2021 1st and maybe a 2nd

I think if a trade to NYR is possible, Chytil is off the table because Mika would be on his way out - Chytil becomes 2C.

Phi would do: Patrick and Gotisbehere for Risto, Mittlestadt and TBL 2nd, but its iffy. If BUF countered with BUF 2nd instead its probably a deal. Risto's advantage over Ghost is similar to Patricks over Mittelstadt, but the higher 2nd would make moving Patrick more palatable, (2nd overall pick, waiting for his migraines to be treated, etc...)

I think Hall gets a bit more than that

Kakko and 1st to start for sure. I know it’s a lot, but ur getting a top 10 centre. I personally believe that the return will be bigger than the Karlsson trade. No everyday a top 10 centre is avaliable for trade.

Many teams will be after him. Could get competitive

Not far off I don’t think.

The rangers obviously have loved kakkos game this year and it would be very hard for them to give him up. Listened to vinces podcast where he had a sabres reporter on who said they would need more entering prime/current nhl assets to make it work as they still want to compete. That being said I could see something like this:

    Zib+kravtsov+Robertson/Jones+2021 1st+2022 2nd
    Or
    Chytil+Strome+kravtsov+Roberson/Jones+ 2021 1st + 2022 1st (top 5 protected)+ 2022 2nd
    Or
    Chytil+Lundkvist+kravtsov+Robertson/Jones+2021 1st + 2022 2nd

It’s a lot of pieces but all very good returns that I don’t think any team would be able to beat. It really comes down to what Buffalo wants in the second two trades, a top 5 protected 1st in 2022 + Strome or Lundkvist. I think buchnevich could also be included in a potential trade.

For rangers, if they go the Chytil option, rangers can always try to trade Zibanejad for really good assets if he wants too much money and hope Chytil takes a step forward or sign a 2c like RNH this offseason for less than Mika will take.

I mean the way he started off this year is similar to how eichel has. Neither is the player they were last year. It really depends on if Buffalo wants a player that can step into a 1c role no problem right away or not. It’s hard to overlook zibanejads 41 goals + 75 points in 56 games last year. Him not playing well kills their middle depth which is the only reason they would trade for eichel to begin with. Zib has a nmc too so I doubt he would approve Buffalo anyway. It’s a very tricky situation for both teams as rangers won’t give away multiple of their best assets (nor will any team); I don’t envy the position Buffalo may be in if Eichel officially requests the trade.

The thing is like I said rangers are ridiculously high on him with the start he had. While the points weren’t there he completely drove play every shift, was really good on defense, etc. It’s more of the rangers wouldn’t add the pieces Buffalo would want ON TOP of kakko in order to facilitate the deal. They’d still want miller, Lundkvist, kravtsov or Chytil plus a first rounder (and probably more) and it just wouldn’t fly with the rangers org.

that's like hockey buzz EK stuff, it's click bait. you honestly believe Taylor Hall is going to sign long term in Buffalo for less money than what he's currently making? if that was the case, why wouldn't he sign for less from the get go? It's a local writer trying to get clicks.
