Description

Hawks need to win more faceoffs and kill penalties better so that's what i'm trying to adress here and not trying to sacrafice too much of the future to do it. I love Suter but I think he needs to play on the wing. Getting a better faceoff guy to play in between Kane and Debrincat would be huge imo. The more faceoffs they win the more they can possess the puck in the O zone. Guys like Staal or Haula come to mind, I went haula here. Moving Suter to the wing means we need to make a spot there by trading Jahnmark. In moving him and picking up glendening we get better offence imo from suter on the 3rd line and a better PK guy in glendening as a versitle bottom 6 piece. We could skip the glendening move and just play jahnmark on the 4th line, but I think glendening fits that role much better.

I mean i figure if jahnmark is worth about a 3rd then glendenning is worth a little less right?

Faceoffs can be taught and Suter is a pretty good center despite his stats there. If the Hawks aren't competing this season then obviously no rentals. Haula is just SLOOOW

That's fair, I would give a 3rd and just adjust the jahnmark trade as well because if glendennig gets a 3rd then I think jahnmark gets a bit more. there's just more offensive upside there

Staal could be a better option he's just going to cost more than this team should give up for a rental. and all these moves would only be made if we came out alright in the next 11 game stretch like i've talked about before on here

Why is LDG on the wing when he’s one the best Faceoffs in the league? Also Kampf is finally the Kruger replacement on the third line. So then Dach and Toews?

Strome, DeBrincat, Kubalik one of those three is gonna have to be involved soon I bet in order for the hawks to make an attempt at a Joe Pavelski level trade for a cup run. Otherwise STAY THE COURSE.

Nashville probably accepts this deal. 3rd is a good value for Haula and a depth defenseman is good to have for Milwaukee.

Hawks need another Duncan Keith to appear. Every cup winner has the clutch scorer, the top tier goalie, and that dman who just is damn near a god on the blue line that year.

hawks shouldn't give up draft picks. I'm as big a fan as any but they aren't a good team this year. They have played a lot of games against Columbus and Detroit. Dallas has 6 games in hand over the hawks to make up all those points. 16 of their next 18 games are against either Tampa, Florida, Carolina, Dallas with the other 2 against Nashville. Stay the course, stack draft picks .. it's how they had all that success from 2010-2015 .. good draft picks. Once you do that right they will get the key free agents again.

Agreed. #1 ld is our top need and it looks like we won’t be bad enough for power
