Chytil is future top 2c, Kravtsov and Lundkvist are probably the best forward and defense prospects in all of hockey. And a first pick. And Strome who had 59 pts in 70 gp. Those are all considerably more valuable assets than Mittlestadt and Olafsson.

Kravtsov the best F prospect in hockey? Lol cmon kravtsov will likely be an average 2nd line winger. Lundkvist is great though - the rangers will not get Eichel if they don’t give up one of laf/kakko. It’s just not happening. Other teams can come up with a better package for Eichel.

A lot of people myself included would say that Matthews and Eichel are very similar. I would rather have Eichel though because at the end of Matthews contract he is most likely going to Arizona.

Well I still would take Matthews. Don't know why so many think Matthews would go to Arizona. IMO he's going to hockey town and an entertainment city. NY, or LA would be his likely choice

Because he's from Arizona watched the coyotes grow up and he signed a contract that took him right to Free Agency, I'm not saying it will happen but it seems very likely

According to TSN, he was recently #1 overall for any position.

Well Matthews knows, how little folks are in Arizona are interested in hockey. When the Leafs play there, the one game a year, the arena isn't sold out just 70% full. And who attends the games, Canadian snowbirds cheering on the Leafs. I can't see him remotely interested in playing in a city that has no interest in the Coyotes.

TSN had Kravstov #1 overall for all positions. Lundkvist is among a small group of defensemen that qualify as top tier. He is certainly one of best three or four.

I dont think its gonna matter how much the people around the area care about the team, its gonna come down to what Matthews wants.

Post the URL for that ranking. Lundkvist is a great prospect though but he isn't even the best defensemen prospect in the SHL currently (Seider).

My prediction for over year now...has been the Rangers or LA. Maybe Chicago.

What do you guys think of the chances Matthews stays? I think they are decent, but he probably leaves and McDavid comes home 2 years after.

yeah if you take kakko out this trade isint even close

I agree. The Sabres want Matthews price for Eichel. So if we are paying that price we just go get Matthews.

This package certainly doesn’t get u Matthews. Starts with laff+ kakko

I think a big part of whether or not he stays depends on if the Leafs win the cup. If they don't I think he's gone but if they do it might be 50/50. But I would call it a huge disappointment of they don't win a cup in the next 5 years. Too much talent not to win

I pretty much agree with this. Except I might say 25% if they don't win and 75 if they do. I also think they stand a strong chance of a cup in 5 years. It's hard to say.

It should have said Kakko or Kravtsov. Obviously not both.

Dude not trying to be rude here, but I seriously want to know why Toronto even considers this deal.
