Perfectly okay with this, but would also explore trading Strome and a pick (even if it's the 2021 first) for a younger player/prospect to take over the first line LHD now or eventually. Even a guy like Lindholm from the Ducks if we can extend him. Keith, as much as i love the guy, he's making too many turnover mistakes (more then usual) which is likely some fatigue. Dial back his minutes and let someone else step into that first line role on the team.

Totally agree, would love a stronger LHD 1, would be willing to throw strome and a first for lindholm, too. I think our D corps would be much stronger like that.

Yeah, the Blackhawks don't really have that legit #1 Shutdown Defenseman like Keith used to be. And by shutdown I mean defensively sound, I guess, not a DFD type of guy like Alzner or Scuderi or Chara. Boqvist will be a top 2 Dman in 2 years I think, and Beaudin is nasty, but I don't think either of them are legit number 1 guys unless Boqvist gets a bit better defensively. Lindholm is good, but we could also trade for someone like Ristolainen or maybe even Dumoulin?

Definitely not Risto, he's not that great and we are stacked on the right side with murphy, Mitchell, Boqvist and Regula...that is more then enough guys for the 3 lines. Regula is going to be a very solid 3rd liner. Left side we need to focus on though. While I agree Beaudin is going to be very solid probably as a 2nd liner eventually, and I like Carlsson in the 3rd liner role and if not him then Kalynuk, the issue is the 1st line. We have nobody that can take on that role in the system and Keith showing his age should slide down to a 2nd and eventually 3rd line role before his contract is up if we had a replacement.

Beaudin - Murphy
Carlsson/Kalynuk, Regula read to jump in as needed.

That's actually pretty solid defense and pairings.

How is this is a "youth movement big time" with basically no moves made...? It's the same team except you've swapped De Haan and Kalynuk.

Because Zadorov was replaced with Beaudin too. Also, are there more than 5-6 players that aren't young on this roster? I just meant the young hawks.
