    Not sure Buffalo would want Jones if they are rebuilding. Maybe make it a 3 way and send assets you Buffalo

    Jones makes it interesting,
    but i wonder if he’s too old to fit the rebuild timeline the Sabres will be in if they trade Eichel

    Jones is highly over rated, even CBJ fans point out his flaws. Also hes the only decent piece coming back. How does adding another RD help this team moving forward, not to mention they would have to protect him in the expansion draft leaving either Jokiharju or Risto exposed

    We could potentially trade some RHD
    And also, we wouldn’t do 7-3-1 protection plan

    Skinner, Eichel, Reinhart, Hall, Olofsson - they may have too. They move Eichel for a RHD and a bunch of depth pieces, where do they go from there, just sit in limbo till they accidently stumble upon another top 6 center - even then Cozens is a couple years from taking over top line duties

    CBj can flip him for pieces that we’d want & give them to us for Eichel
    If we don’t want Jones, there’s no way that offer is the winning bid

    So then you’d be down to 3 forwards worth protecting
