I'd like to have hertl on colorado but there would have to be money going back. I think compher would have to go the other way and maybe pateryn to even it out

I think your value is about right for the Wild, but the trade doesn't work without the Wild sending back salary.
It seems O'Rourke isn't a well kept secret, he gets included in a lot of trades when people add Wild prospects. I'm pretty excited for the kid to be NHL ready I like his style of play.

I rated him quite highly going into the draft, which is why I wanted him. Yeah retaining salary is possible

This was mainly inspired by a tweet pointing out the usage and scoring of Hertl and Hall was quite similar, so I tried basing offers on that somwhat. But the Sharks are further from contending than the devils, so it's much more future based, also my prospect knowledge is a little limited

I was really considering them but I don't know their prospects too great was why I didn't add him. I would probably if I'm the Sharks have a deal similar to the Columbus one. Both teams are a little outside bonsaied contenders, but could be with Hertl. So the deal would be fully futures, and the gamble is fully on the team

I think the Sharks would retain near half (sorry i didnt include this). I think it would mean either Hyman leaves in FA, or Kerfoot is traded in some way or taken by Seattle eventually. Does the value work well for them? I love Niemela but idk Leafs fans thoughts on him

If the Sharks are trading Hertl, they're full on rebuilding and not re-tooling, so it would likely be solely futures. Sharks would want a first, and a combo of a young RD or center, LW, RD, or Goalie prospects, or mid round picks

Hertl requires a top prospect or a high first. Pens have neither so they are out

If Doug Wilson moves Hertl for a 2021 first round pick I will walk to San Jose and beat him silly with my flip-flop. This year's draft is going to be such a crapshoot and those picks absolutely shouldn't have the value that the 2022 picks do.
