Those are terrible deals. Why would the sharks give up Donato? Why would we want a D for Meier? Bob for Vlasic is the only viable deal

Not the futures package I think NSH is shopping for, but yeah - interesting idea. I don't hate it.

I don't think SJS should be trading young talent for older defenseman, but I won't say no to that deal.

Donato was my best guess as to who the Sharks could lose.
Meier is a nice piece that could be moved with Dahlen coming over and Ekholm I feel would make Karlsson better I believe.

Yeah but they are saddled with bad contracts for the foreseeable future and being terrible for a decade can't be the plan.

If you are trading Timo, why not just protect Ekholm Ferraro, and get burns and/or Karlsson to waive, and protect 7 forwards(including Donato)?

Donato has not played well since the first few weeks of the season. Not bee bad, but not producing. Balcers has replaced him as the final top 6. From there, think Gambrell is probably more valuable than Donato in terms of expansion just seeing he is a center and cheap and all. So would come down to Dahlen, Donato, and Simek for Seattle to choose from in expansion most likely.

You can exspose Burns but can't see Seattle taking him, without paying them to do so.

The idea would be to protect Donato. I think in that situation Seattle would probably go for Simek
