Doesn't make sense for Boston to trade for Ekholm with the expansion draft this summer. Savard trade could be interesting, but they need help on the left side.

Not true at all. Ekholm is an upgrade over everyone on their left side. All it does is add Grizz to the unprotected list which might not even alter Seattle’s selection. They are better off this year and next regardless.

Forsbacka Karlsson - forgot about that guy. Is he coming back to NA?

NJD likely pass on Moore deal

Sounds like you may not be aware how important grzelcyk is to the bruins.

This makes the deal impossible to do. No D with any term can come in this season.

Nah.

Ya, you do. Lol. It s pretty bad actually . 🤷🏻‍♂️

Last year at this time you were telling everyone his contract negotiations would START at 5m. Everyone else said 3-4m, you laughed. Oops. That he’s 1st pair caliber. He isn’t. He’s mediocre 2nd. That you would not trade him straight up for Ekholm, making 3 people on the planet that wouldn’t. You and his parents. Lol.

Other fanbases tend to underrate him. You try to make up for it all by yourself.

Nashville still could probably find a better offer for Ekholm that adds another pick or prospect

Term buddy. Term. I had him a little under 4 for 4 years. Some threw around 6 year deals, and ya. That would start at 5. Alright little guy, away with you.

Ya, after everyone called you out on your ridiculous claims of 5-6m per. You started coming down. First it was 4.5-5. Then 4-4.5.

Since nobody asked, here’s my take:

The Bs need a healthy Matt Grzelcyk to get past WAS and NYI. If Lauzon and Zboril are at 100 % then they are have even better chances.
However, this year is set up as perfectly as possible for the Bruins in that they won’t need to play TB before the conference finals and TOR before the Cup finals. That won’t exist next year. Moving forward they are the 3rd best team in the division (possibly 4th depending on FLA) and are fighting uphill to get past the 1st or 2nd round. Now is the time to go all in. And if that means acquiring a D with term that forces them to make hard decisions then so be it. Leave Ekholm exposed, leave Gryz exposed, make a trade to entice Seattle to take someone else.

That Savard trade is borderline insulting. A reclamation project we don't have time or roster space for and a depth winger we don't have roster space for? And we're having to retain? I mean, yes, Savard's a rental, but even for rental deals you have to have something the selling team actually wants.
