Yzerman isn't retaining on a cheap $1 million contract. Ryan is worth a late 2nd without retention.

He started out hot cooled off a bit and coming in to tonight's game he had 4 points in his last 4 games. So I do agree with DiehardRedWingsFan58 and think Detroit can get a late 2nd for Ryan. But i'd have no problem retaining whatever is left on his contract at the time of the trade.
