Why would the Islanders do this? So they can have 6 more years of a useless winger? They would much rather suffer 1 more year until Ladd and Hickey's contracts are up. And having to give a 3rd and a 5th is laughable. Skinners contract is unmovable.

Idk Nolan Patrick is pretty bad. I know he missed times due to migraines and concussions but he wasn’t great before that either.

What? They’d have a lot of cap space compared to most teams. The only trade that’s probably a stretch is the Skinner deal and that trade alone would improve the Sabres. The Calgary deal could end up a steal if Zary is a second line C and the 2nd rounder works out. The Eichel trade has the value for him but I’m sure Buffalo fans are divided on what to do with him given the state of the franchise.

I think he can be a Jordan Staal, not worth how high he was drafted but still a very solid C.

Cap space, thatll help. No UFA would want to sign in Buffalo, especially after gutting every franchise player for minimal return. Patrick is 1 wrong hit away from walking away from the game as well.

Because those players are not going to help you rebuild by being on your roster. That’s probably the safest trade of them all for Buffalo

If Eichel is traded I just don't see that many pieces being involved. I see it being a very good roster player, a couple of high end prospects and a 1st rounder. That could differ a bit mattering what team and if cap space needs to be opened up.
