Because it’s all ready been reported by many different insiders, that an Eichel trade is doubtful. Zibanejad wouldn’t be included because he’s not waiving for Buffalo, he hasn’t really been good this year and it wouldn’t make sense they would want a younger player because they would go in rebuild mode.

do you guys hear what the insiders have been saying ? Twitter world thinks Buffalo is going to get a big return for Eichel ... thats the complete opposite he is unhappy there. Buffalo is not gonna get a big return for him. Zibb would go there to prove he is still a good player to cash on in on FA. He will be in a place where not a lot of pressure is on him. I think its good trade for both sides. Similar to the Nash trade from years ago.

Zibs isn't worth it bc he only has one year left and then runs....can't trade a guy with 5 yrs left and replace him with a one and done. It's not only a gamble but stupid, then again it's the Sabres

I don't expect a huge return, I've said 4 pieces right along and my comment in no ways suggests a huge return. It's a matter of opinion and if you think it makes sense to take a one and done player to replace a top 10 1C well then trade Panarin for a winger that is one and done and see if that makes sense to you.

You don’t see LA offering up Byfield or Turcotte. You don’t see Anaheim giving up Zegras. No team will give up top tier prospects, plus other assets (with one of them also being a top 10 draft pick). Buffalo fans are going to be wildly disappointed when Eichel is eventually traded. Your looking at two very good prospects (like lundkvist and kravtsov), a roster player (Strome), a 1st rounder, and a 2nd rounder that can turn into a first if the team makes the conference final. Very similar (but more) than Erik karlsson went for (with the picks that transferred due to resigning). Ottawa just lucked into a top 3 pick with San Jose’s quick decline. It was always assumed they would be a playoff team.
