I'd rather the Avs target players who aren't complete question marks health wise, especially if we're moving a big package like this.

They both have concerns, but Avs are the ones adding a 1st + 3rd + Jost for a pending UFA in Laughton so there's far more risk for Colorado than for Philadelphia.

There could be something to a Patrick/Timmins trade. Seems a bit steep for the Avs as it stands though due to the risk involved.

Timmins has had rookie moments, but he looks like a sure bet to have a long and successful career (imo). Jost is also valuable to the team due to his cost and defensive play. Adding a first on top seems like a lot, even with Laughton included.

I tried to come up with a counter but am strinking out. Timmins and Kaut for Patrick and a third or something? Idk.

His trade value is reflective of his UFA status. Avs have no control of the situation so they shouldn't pay the trade price based on him resigning.

I respect Patrick, but he's not above Kadri on that high-scoring second line.
