Mine is as long as the Leafs' SC drought

Sorry this one was too easy

I only started using mine relatively recently. I think it has 7 people on it or so.

I'm throwing out a homer name...but the way Damon Severson is playing this year, I'd hope he'd make some of these lists.
Also, Quinn Hughes deserves a nod

In all seriousness, I doubt he is better than anyone on this list but he's close with the way he's been performing this season.

CD282 is such a homer. Nurse is a number 2 at best

Didn't want to tag me, huh? Nurse is a top-10 defenseman this year, we'll see if he can keep it up.

For the past 3.5 years (since he was just 22) Nurse has been playing 1st pairing minutes against the toughest comp. And he's managed to be in the top-10 for points at 5v5 despite not being given pure offensive / sheltered icetime.

1. Carlson: 111
2. Josi: 103
3. Burns: 101
4. Rielly: 91
5. Nurse: 86
6. Barrie: 86
7. Chabot: 86
8. Karlsson: 85
9. Hedman: 84
10. Giordano: 84

Notice something about this list? Most of the guys here are older and past their primes - it's not easy to say they have more future value than a 26-year-old who's been keeping up with them since he was 22. He's huge and nasty, he logs tons of minutes, and he's been very good defensively this year. He absolutely should be on any top-20-ish list.

I would put Heiskanen over Jones and MacAvoy but that's just me.
