Maybe I'm missing something but not sure why Seattle would go for Warren when Nino is available. I like Foegele but idk, that seems like Canes wishful thinking in hopes of being able to sneak Nino through. Assuming that Staal even waives and those four can be protected, Nino's a proven top 6 forward with a decent contract. They're going to be looking to get some goal scoring, and while he's tapered off in the past few years he's starting to see a nice bounce back. The best Seattle will likely have access to elsewhere is maybe JVR, maybe Oshie? Nino can help lead the way on the offense to start a lot more than Foegele would project to.

Nino is a 1 year rental, not worth it for a new franchise building from the ground up to take a rental unless their intent is trade for picks at the TDL

Bogosian, what's the point? Just give Keane the shot.

My thoughts were Nino has 1 year left at 5.25. Very possible he’s taken but his career has shown he needs to be in the perfect place w good chemistry to produce to that level of contract. imo protecting bean and fleury are more important than 1 year of nino. i feel nino could be replaced by a ufa/trade forward

kind of a troll. BOGO for Norris. Was trying to find a depth D/Veteran RHD in UFA but got tired of looking for the perfect fit and threw the GOAT in

      Staal unprotected with a NMC?

He waives the NMC as no way in hell is seattle taking that contract. Allows us to make the moves there was.

      A. the Center market will be so thin that if Staal was to waive (which he wont be asked) he would be taken.
      B. Bean is the most protected defender on this squad. No way can he handle 1st line minutes. Duchene went right into the guy's chest and punked him for a good scoring chance. He has a long way to go before he can handle #1 duties. He isnt even ready for 2 pairing duties.
