Despite Zadorov's recent developments (turning into a decent player) he is probably not part of our future, as Keith is gonna stay for a while, Beaudin is looking promising, and we have other highly skilled guys like Kalynuk and Vlasic coming soon so it would be better to turn him loose for some future capital

Idk but I'd love to see that big mean Russian in a Jets jersey blowing guys up at the blue line!

He's actually played well this season imo, leading to two options for the Hawks, either now or in the offseason.

1. Sell high, ship him to a team that needs help defensively. Could probably get a 2nd round pick or equivalent prospect back.

2. Keep him for the future and hope he doesn't regress.

As much as I've liked him this year, I think we take option 1 tbh. It will free up some cap space for next season and allow us to replace him with a young up-and-comer. Don't have to send him to WPG, but they are an option

probably not at the deadline, although that could make sense for a contender to target him, but he's still an RFA so I think he'll probably be moved before signing his next contract in the summer
