Description
Don't take this super seriously, but a vast majority of the Eichel trades on here are basically Kaapo, prospects, and picks for Eichel which is pretty insane... I think it'd take a lot more and this is closer, while making both teams pretty much better at the same time. There's no way the Rangers could get Eichel without giving up Zibanejad+++. In this trade, BUF forefits a franchise 1C for a starting goalie/proper 1A 1B with Ullmark, and two above average first and second line centers, as well as an additional young and formidable top 6 winger. NYR gets the elite 1C and some temporary options for the rest of the year, as well as shedding some crazy wing depth to get Kaapo and Lafreniere comfortably in the top six.

The second trade is even more of a joke, figure if BUF wants to try to offload Okposo to try and keep Hall, maybe we can help each other out. Okposo then likely gets bought out in the off season unless some magical resurgence takes place coming back to the City. His buyout price is pretty high for next year, but remember all the other buyouts are coming (mostly) off the books next year, so it won't be so bad

Take out Buch and Lundkvist or first pick. It is too much for Eichel.

Try Zibanejad+picks. Equal quality, but Zibanjead is only on two years on contract.

Eichel is significantly better while playing injured.

I completely agree. I apologize on behalf of the Rangers fanbase that someone is seriously saying Zibanejad is better, or even equal lmfao...

Still hoping Casey Mittelstadt will work out, eh? Not sure how not wanting Zibanejad makes any sense...

Guess we're all drunk on this Saturday night. Cheers folks

It just doesn't work for NYR cap wise... there's no way they'll be able to make the cap work with Eichel, Panarin, Kreider, and Trouba eating ~35mil for the next forever, and then Zibanejad, Fox, Shesterkin, etc, needing contracts within the next few years. Unless you want Trouba...

Zibanejad isn't that old to upend any kind of rebuild... not like NYR isn't still rebuilding, kinda

He is not waiving for Buffalo either. Buffalo price would be way too high because I doubt they would want Kakko either because the jury is still out on him if he’s even good or not.

A young top 6 winger, a relatively young top six center, and a young starting goaltender are not the right parts for Eichel? As well as future allegedly very good RHD, and two first round picks...

That might be my favorite hot take out of this miserable thread

While majority of the comments here have been pretty insane, this was flippin' hilarious. Well played, my friend. You win tonight
