Dallas and Chicago

Description
Having this discussion with a friend and wanted to see what others thought: How far off would a Nylander for Gurianov trade be?

Dallas wouldn't move Gurianov for this as he's probably the more valuable asset in this deal, but I was arguing they could be a lot closer than people would give Nylander credit for (ignoring the potential effects of his injury).

Nylander (8th OA in 2016)
@ 18/19 - 28 in 65 (0.43 PPG) in the AHL, 1 in 4 (0.25 PPG) in the NHL
@ 19/20 - 27 in 51 (0.53 PPG) in the AHL, 1 in 3 (0.33 PPG) in the NHL
@ 20/21 - 31 in 49 (0.63 PPG) in the AHL, 4 in 12 (0.33 PPG) in the NHL
@ 21/22 - 26 in 65 (0.40 PPG) in the NHL
@ 22/23 - Out with a knee injury

Gurianov (12th OA in 2015)
@ 18/19 - 5 in 47 (0.11 PPG) in the KHL
@ 19/20 - 27 in 57 (0.47 PPG) in the AHL, 0 in 1 (0.00 PPG) in the NHL
@ 20/21 - 34 in 74 (0.46 PPG) in the AHL
@ 21/22 - 48 in 57 (0.84 PPG) in the AHL, 4 in 21 (0.19 PPG) in the NHL
@ 22/23 - 29 in 64 (0.45 PPG) in the NHL, 17 in 27 (0.63 PPG) in the playoffs
@ 23/24 - 11 in 18 (0.61 PPG) in the NHL so far

Can't see DAL being interested.

Gurianov's on a cold streak right now, but he's still probably the only pure sniper in the Stars roster.

Nylander is on LTIR and was traded for Jokiharju not too long ago.

Stars tell you to go fleece someone else :/

Yeah, I figured that would very much be the case. Gurianov is the better player at the moment, and Dallas wouldn't be interested in making a trade like this anyways.

But I'm glad I got a Dallas fan, a Hawks fan, and another neutral Sens fan. My question isn't really a "would Dallas/Chicago do this?", because I think it's pretty obvious that Dallas would say no especially within the context of real life (Dallas is always looking for goal scoring, and Denis provides that; Nylander is out with a pretty big injury). The question, though, was more "how far away do people think Nylander is from Gurianov?" I argued he's not all that far off, ignoring the possible ramifications of the injury. After all, much like @sensonfire said, Nylander was traded for Jokiharju. A young top 4 D is nothing to scoff out when we're looking at value.

If you want to make this swap between these two players work, I suggest waiting until Nylander is off LTIR and has an extension. Although the Hawks will need to add IMO.

Wouldn't see any interest coming from Dallas.
