I'd be most concerned in that it looks like Matthews can't shoot. He avoided shooting almost all night and the shots he did take had nothing on them, JT had replaced him in the circles as shooting position on the power play while Matthews moved first to the high slot and now to the net front this game. I don't think he should be playing at all.

They should keep the new 3rd line together, it's been the best line the last few games. I agree on switching Marner and Nylander, and also they should sit Matthews until he can actually shoot again.

It would be nice if the coach recognized when players other than Matthews and Marner are going. One power play and Nylander got a full 11 seconds of ice-time. If you're going to bench him for every minor mistake, how about rewarding him when he's the best forward going. That would be a switch.

Man though I miss simmonds. We really need a guy who can rally this team with a fight and Simmonds was our guy. 2 more weeks to go sigh dam wrists
