Why would Taylor Hall waive his NMC to go back to the Oilers?

And why can't the Oilers just offer Adam Larsson and nothing else?

See that is a more realistic E. Staal trade. And the Fleury bros get to play together, dunno if you could get Nylander for Reinhart, but good work!

Because they get rid of Neal, and Hall is an Alberta boy and wants a second chance with the Oilers.

With all the trade I did, there's no place for Larsson.

Hall got PTSD after his time with the Oilers and Neal can still contribute.

Hall is more likely to waive his NMC for Calgary or Toronto than he is for Edmonton.

If the Oilers only got back Adam Larsson when they traded away Taylor Hall, then they aren't throwing away Lavoie + a 1st round pick just to get back the same player when he's now a pending UFA.

The Oilers and Hall are best served by moving on from their past and looking to the future
