Werenski is only 23, he's a savage workhorse on Columbus's blueline, he has term left on his deal and will still be an RFA under team control at the end of it.

The sky is the limit for him.

Two unprotected firsts is just the beginning to getting a deal done

He plays for Columbus, so he's bound to ask for a trade out of town eventually! I kid, I kid.

In all seriousness, if they trade him, it'll take 2 unprotected firsts and top defensive prospect at minimum. Maybe Guhle, 2 firsts, and a young forward. They may be okay with Kotkaniemi.

Not even close for Zach Werenski, try more like Suzuki and probably a couple 1st round pick for starters.

If the Jackets traded Werenski they should honestly do a tear down rebuild, move Laine, Jones, Jenner, etc and start over.

This is a good start for Werenski, probably needs some slight changes though.

At this point, I would be in favor of a soft rebuild. Since Werenski is a RFA & under team control, they should keep him and try to sign him long term. Trade Jones to Buffalo for Eichel (throwing in additional pieces like Texier, Domi, Foudy. 1st, etc.
this would get the Jackets a reliable 1C (who is not happy in his current situation).
