I think the biggest issue with people including Zibenejad is his NMC. Whether Buffalo wants him or not doesn't really matter because I highly doubt he would waive his NMC to go to Buffalo especially when Eichel is going the other way.

And we don’t want Eichel. No point in making our team worse to acquire him. The cost to acquire is too high, well you guys don’t want prospects and only our young roster players. No guarantee Eichel will perform better in NY. And I would not want to pay such a high price to acquire your headache in order to find out.

Not sure who we is but if i trade eichel to rangers i sure as hell want zibb's. He's solid on face offs and a good 2 way center. He's having a down year, true. But i see 0 reasons to not want a proven 1c in exchange for ours. We definately need more than that back but I for one want nothing to do with a bunch of prospects and 4th liners trying to figure out if they can play at the NHL level. Cousins has been great...for 10 games is it now, never played in the A, not resting my hat there. Your gonna try mitts as your second line center? Cuz we need one of those too, unless you feel that's easy to do in free agency after watching it not happen for 5 years.
If your gonna post about eichel trades at least show us how your finished product looks. I wanna see your eichel less 2022 sabres with rangers pieces you got.

If you trade for zibbs and sabres prospects pan out you can have him as a 2c, there's a trial year left on his deal. So works well. Let me see your better options. Or, if your against eichel trades. Stop reading and posting. Doesnt make sense to evaluate something you'll never think is good.

In a Eichel trade the Sabres are going to take back a lot of cap to make a trade. Short term mid to large cap contracts might be Sabres only option. Once cleared of those, using the picks and former 10m cap to reshape the team.
