Really overvalue the very middling Denault and Armia.

I dig Danault's defensive capabilities. Last year he would've easily netted a first plus, but this year he has been somewhat bad.

I personally like Armia. I think he'd flourish in a team like Dallas.

I like Dvoraks contract but he isnt worth that package. Him and Drouin are close to equal value, not a 1st and young dman in difference

Think there's a clear difference, due to contract and position.

        Gross overpayment for Eichel

KK+ ROmanov(or Guhle and pick) plus first is where the conversation starts for MTL, not Suzuki

Avs decline because the priority on the cap space they picked up needs to be goalie and a less expensive in trade value 3C, like Staal. Trading their 1st in 2021 on a rental means they have 1 pick total in the first 2 rounds in 2021 & 2022 which does hamper their ability to make a bigger more permanent move if needed.

Think Suzuki+Norlinder can be replaced with Kotkaniemi+Romanov, yes. Could be a fair deal regardless. But I do think Eichel will cost a huge package.

Unpopular opinion: dude's overhyped. He's elite and quite possibly a franchise player but he hasn't proven yet he's a top 5 center in the league. I wouldn't trade away my entire farm system to get him

Pretty high demand for the guy - needs to be a TOP5 center in the world to deserve a great return.

        I don't think he's a top5 C either, but a top10 certainly.

Center is the most valuable position. I'd say in terms of value he belongs to the TOP20 of the league, possibly to TOP15.

if they miss i will be shocked but if Calgary heats up and they slump again could happen. But I think the Overhaul wont be with the team but with the front Office, Bergevin will be gone as will some other key staff

Only way Danault makes sense for the Avs would be in some kind of swap for Kadri. Danault wants/needs to be #2C and would certainly need to be to justify any raise next year. That means the Avs would disrupt chemistry that's starting to form. Otherwise he plays #3C and walks end of the season most likely and I don't see Sakic paying a first for a rental #3C of any kind, plus it would leave the Avs with only one pick in the first & second round next two years. Start of the year I'd have done Kadri for Danault. Now, not so much.
