NSH would be content with a 4th for Richardson.

Fair, I think they'd be fine giving playoff ice time to younger guys though if they make it. They are looking to the future rather than this year.

On the season Danault is at 52% on 379 draws, Evans is at 51% on 214 draws, KK is at 48% on 232 draws & Suzuki is at 43% on 362 draws.

Glendening is at 68% on 371 draws, Rowney is at 57% on 14 draws, Richardson is at 55% on 120 draws & Sutter is at 54% on 281 draws.

With only 14 faceoff's all year Rowney is out of the picture, way too small of a sample size. At $4.4 Million Sutter is out, way too high in salary. Richardson has 120 faceoff's, all lower than all 4 current Habs Centres, is this too small of a sample size? Glendening is the best option but because he is at 68% the asking price will be higher, as other teams will be in the bidding war. Supply and demand.

Richardson has been over 52% for each of the last 6 years, so I’d say it’s sustainable.

Yes, especially since we can send Evan’s to the taxi-squad.

Glendening is a monster in the FO circle. And he has been for a while. My guess is the more Habs wait to make the move, the steeper the price will be. For now, I'd be agressive and go for a 2nd + a 3rd.
But I'd also want Stecher to play 3rd pairing RD. So I'd be willing to offer choice of Mete/Kulak + Poehling + a 2nd for both guys.

not trying to be a jerk here but you said yourself Richardson is at 52% for 6 years. So you want to give up a 2nd or 3rd round pick and possible prospect to send Evans to the taxi squad when his draws are only a minuscule 1% lower than Richardson? It makes no sense to me. We are talking about a 4th line Centre that plays 10 minutes per game. Evans kills PK's, plays a smart 200 feet, will not embarrass you. I just don't get the logic in all of this.

To go deep in the playoff's what does Habs need, besides the obvious of Price playing well. It needs the top 9 to score goals. This is a deep roster but when 6 of those 9 go almost ten games without scoring obviously you will lose games. If Habs can put together a game plan to stop the top lines of TOR, WPG, EDM then Habs come out of the Northern Division.
