Really, the love for Matthews in Arizona is minimal. When the Leafs play in their one game a year in Arizona, the arena is only 3/4 full. And who attends? Canadian snowbirds cheering on the Leafs.
There is just not a market...meaning people who want to pay out money to attend Coyotes hockey games. Matthews cannot create a hockey fan market in Arizona.
Bettman has tried to convince us for 25 years that he an make the NHL a successful endeavour across the US. Has never happened, never will.

It would be foolish to do this if we are going to rebuild and go after Wright or Lambert, everything goes to rebuild.
