We were not going to be good this year. Yes I thought better, and we were until covid hot the team. Our PK is usually a shiny star and its not, again I like the assets that came back instead. Mcleod might be the Coleman replacement anyway. I like both players who left but for the returns ya cant be unhappy.

It was actually Makumadullin and Foote for Coleman. Mercer was in the Hall trade. I just hate that our penalty kill was so good but now it sucks. Probably has to do with our division being so good. We need better defensemen on the PK to fix it

You are def right, Im wrong. Yeah I am used to Madeen, Pandolfo PKs of the past! I trust Fitz will move some stuff and get our D in shape quickly!

I trust fitz too, I think he will get a defender (or 2) that block shots and are good defensively and will fix our penalty kill. We are in a great spot with our cap space, and roster to take full advantage of the expansion draft.

I love your name. I agree. We could get some big defensemen and penalty killers in free agency. Bring back Coleman and Larsson. For the expansion draft, I would be fine if we lose Subban or Merkley.

Blocking the middle of ice vs blocking where shots come from. Been rough. Joey Anderson and Rooney would be nice to get back too. I agree it’s not as much personnel as it is system.

The system is horrendous. It's looking better with faster guys on the PK. Even on the power play the system is bad with the dumb passes in the neutral zone. But we still could use a defensive defenseman for the PK

PK isn't that bad to be honest. He is looking better. But I still don't want him on the ice during PK.

We lost a TON of good defensive players. Coleman, Greene and Zajac got way slower. The assistant coach Mark Recchi is in charge of the PK I think.

you've got new good defensive players up front, just give them an opportunity (Wood, Zacha, Bastian, Kukkonen, McLeod)
in the backend you can count on Kulikov and Severson, bring in somebody like Cole and you'll be fine

The defense is horrible on the PK. Severson an Kulikov are decent but we don't have anyone else. Larsson would be a good fit. Bahl is coming up next year and he would be a great fit, being 6'7
