Correcting an Error

Description
Panik or Hagelin would work in this trade for me. I think the Preds would rather have Panik.

Granlund, Oshie, and Eller can all rotate through the middle six center spots as needed and as chemistry/injuries/suspensions dictate.

Ultimately I think the Caps are getting a slight edge in value, so they send the pick.

If the Predators moved Forsberg and/or Granlund, they would be committing to a rebuild & aren't going to target a 30-year old (Panik) and a 28-year old (Kuznetsov). They are going to be going after multiple high draft picks & blue-chip prospects. Sure, you might have a cap dump thrown in to make the money work, but do Kuznetsov & Panik make this team any better than Forsberg & Granlund? No, and now you've picked up additional cap space in a dead cap time.

Don't see the Preds trading high-end vets for other vets. They either keep the two or trade them and blow the team up.

Trading their best offensive player who isn’t on an expensive deal. When nobody in the pipeline is remotely close to his ability. He is a player you keep during the rebuild to still have talent. Any move for Fil if they do it would have to be a big overpayment

It makes sense. And beyond that, NSH right now has a 1L and two very good 2C's.

But Buffalo would pay a little bit to swap Skinner (30 goal LW) for Johansen. Kuznetsov has one more 70 point season than Eichel, so if Skinner got to 30 goals with Eichel, he can get back there with Kuznetsov. The question is what NSH would want from WSH and Buf to make those trades. It's obviously not going to be a huge amount, because Kuznetsov is usually the best guy of the four, and Skinner, when he's on his game, is even with Forsberg, but for a rebuilding team to add a 3rd and a bust from WSH and a 2nd and a bust from Buf, while upgrading at #1C and staying just as skilled at #1LW? That seems solid, to me.

Nashville wont take on Skinner at 9 million for 6 more years.
