Debrusk for Bear is a non-starter for me. So are there options outside of Bear that realistically could land the struggling winger?

Id like to see DeBrusk on the Oilers. Great shot and speed. I'm not sure we had the assets to spare on a guy like him. Lots of options to look at in free agency

DeBrusk is from EDM, makes sense that Holland would consider a trade

As a Boston fan, I'm curious as to what you feel EDM would need to give up in order to acquire Debrusk?

I would think something more along the lines of Kahun, Jones and a 2nd is what I'd hope Holland to put down as the highest he'd go on a deal. Fair enough if Boston values Debrusk's potential high enough to not make that trade, but in his current slump, I wouldn't want Holland to go dropping a 1st on him, even if he may be worth it in the end, too risky. If Boston is seeking a 1st and nothing less as part of a package, may be hard to find a suitor at the moment before Debrusk shows a bit of a spark again.

If I were Boston I'd be pushing hard to use Debrusk as the key part in a trade with Buffalo for a 50% cap Hall for the playoff push, that makes sense for both teams IMO.

If Nuge won't sign, then the Oilers either trade him for futures or use him as a self-rental. Like St. Louis took trading Shattenkirk and then Stastny for futures even though they were in the playoffs. In this case I think a Nuge for Debrusk deal could work. Boston might even have the cap to sign him after. This is all hinging on "IF Nuge won't sign".

If you ask me right now, probably nothing since a trade wouldn't be possible because the Bruins' first need is top4 LD, second is maybe 2nd line F. Oilers don't have any of these available. Even last offseason, I couldn't really make a good EDM-BOS trade involving DeBrusk that would satisfy both sides.

I remember the days this past offseason, before Klefbom had surgery, where All Bruins or Oilers ACGM teams had a trade involving Debrusk + for Klefbom or Nurse+
