Description

FIRSTLY, I don't believe OTT should be trading for Eichel but with all the talk that's going around I figured I'd propose something. SECONDLY, I don't believe all the negative talk around Eichel, and even if he came in with an attitude I think Tkachuk is the kind of guy that gets people to loosen up and embrace a team mentality. THIRDLY, I also believe this is a legit good offer. NO TEAM is giving you back another (younger/cheaper) Eichel, so you can stop dreaming now.
LASTLY, this Ottawa line up will be tremendous in 2 years with the addition of Sanderson and Kleven. Considering 14 million comes off the cap at the end of this season (Stepan, Anisimov, Reilly, Coburn) and they could pick up a solid 2nd pairing LHD for 2 years until the kids are ready - I'd say they're in the playoffs next year.
Seattle Exp Draft: leave Murray, Dadonov, Zaitsev, Watson, Gustavsson... exposed. Ottawa can easily replace any of those pieces if need be, and likely at a better price.

Maybe but we digress..

The early comment was specifically about "attitude problem/heart" and I was simply saying every player except Panarin gets angry when losing. Panarin may have been upset to be in a small market or to play under Torts but as you said they were winning and he left for reasons other than "attitude problem/heart"

"Soon" is a vague term. Ottawa won't make it this season. And probably not next season. But 22-23, yeah... I'd bet on them making it to the post-season.
