Leafs possible trade deadline additions 2

Description
I haven't seen any Arvidsson to the leafs rumors but Nashville is reportedly shopping him and I think the leafs should be all over it. The leafs get a guy who has really struggled over the past few seasons but was a fantastic player for three years straight. He's gone deep in the playoffs before and has the skill to be the perfect linemate for Tavares and Nylander or Matthews and Marner. The best part about this trade for the leafs is Arvidsson is on a great contract for the next 4 seasons. For Nashville they get a solid middle six forward in Kerfoot, a first round pick, and a defensemen in Niemela who was the best defensemen at the world Juniors, and with Nashvilles ability to develop defensemen, he could be there next Ryan Ellis.

Honestly think it's too much- would rather spend the capital somewhere else if that's the cost. Plus this essentially costs you Hyman, even if he were to take a discount and you go cheap for a 2nd goalie. Moreover, also probably costs you a top4 dman like Holl because now you don't go 4-4-1 protection for expansion obviously after giving those assets up.

Even with this trade I think the leafs can still afford Hyman as long as they let Freddy go, also, I don't think it's the end of the world if the leafs lose Holl or Dermott because Sandin and Lilijgren will be ready next year

I don't know how the Leafs can afford Ardvission next season. But really haven't you contradicted yourself in your opening statement. You say he's on own a fantastic contact despite struggling in the past two years. Maybe "struggling" is the new norm. Leafs really don't need a winger.
What is this fascination with forwards from the Preds? It's 2021, maybe they are past their best due dates.

I don't think Sandin or Lilijgren can play in the top4 next year, and as much as I like Dermott, leafs have never really increased his usage (besides injury) and it does not seem like they ever will. Especially not if he has to play the right side. If Seattle just takes Holl, I think it really destabilizes your top4 d for next year- which is still a contending year. I would still view the trade as the above assets plus Holl. If anything, I would still make the argument that if that is the cost, I would rather go after someone else- someone better. Lastly, I think Robertson is more likely to excel in the top 6 next year than Sandin/Lilijgren being able to do the same in the top4.
